East District Congress

We are (re)introducing an East District Congress this season, providing a Red Pointed weekend at the Melville in early September, incorporating and expanding on the Watson Trophy for Teams.

Saturday September 1 sees the launch of a competition of Swiss Pairs (8 x 6 board rounds) for the Chalmers Trophy (last played for in 1975). Entry is £25 per pair.

Sunday September 2 is devoted to the Watson Trophy. This teams event will be 6 x 8 board rounds of Swiss Teams assuming numbers allow, if not it will be a multiple teams sevent. Entry is £50 per team.

Both open events, both for red points. If you enter both events, you will benefit from a dicounted rate of £20 per person for the weekend.

Soup and sandwiches will be available at a cost of £6 per person per day, but should be pre-booked on the entry form. Online booking is now open.
